WHAT ONE
STUDENT SAID

“My life is significantly
easier than most
of the people in this world.
Because of that, I have a
huge responsibility!  I must
do all I can to pass that
blessing on to others
I can change the lives
of many people . . .
This trip was a humbling
and inspiring one that
helped me to reset
my spiritual thermostat.

Dentists and Dental Hygienists Are Needed

Do you have four to six weeks in which you can make a difference in the lives of an under-served population in Kenya, East Africa?

If the answer to this question is yes, then read on to find out more about the Maasai Dental Clinic and the opportunities there for service.

The National Association of Seventh-day Adventist Dentists (NASDAD) through the World Health Dental Organization are owners/managers of a state-of-the-art dental clinic in Siana Springs, Kenya, East Africa (near Nairobi).  These organizations have partnered with Loma Linda University to provide not only dental care for the Maasai People, but to a rare opportunity for senior dental students to become involved in a service learning experience changing their lives forever.

Dental professionals will have the unique privilege of mentoring young future dentists in this unique environment.

The Maasai Dental Clinic is open four and a half days per week.  Some of the patients arrive by foot from as far as 20 miles away.  The schedule of the volunteer dentist develops through the day before your eyes!

If you have an interest in animals and nature, service at Maasai Dental Clinic can be characterized as the “cake” with the frosting just minutes away in the Maasai Mara National Game Parks.  Perhaps the premier of all African game parks, in appreciation for dental care for the Maasai, Siana Springs Game Park Lodge provides one day of free game park viewing for each five days of dentistry performed at the Clinic.  If you’ve been contemplating the purchase of a new DSLR camera with at least a 300mm zoom lens, now is the time to make that purchase and capture the precious moments you’ll have in the Maasai Mara.

Before you purchase a ticket to Nairobi, Kenya, there are some important details you need to consider, applications, and forms you need to complete.  The process takes some time, but it is well worth the effort to get started right away.
